The Basics
We provide an affordable cross-country road rally using antique and classic cars.
When: The rally will take place June 1-7 of 2008.
Where: We will be traveling though America's heartland on some of the prettiest roads in the country while visiting transportation related museums and enjoying all that America has to offer.
What: A limited number of antique and classic cars ranging in years from 1903 to 1974 will run between 1,000-1,200 miles in a weeklong rally.
Why: For the good old American way: for the money, for the glory, and for the fun; mostly for the fun! The main reason to participate is for the adventure of traveling cross-country in some of the finest automobiles ever made.
Mission: To provide an antique car rally:
a. that is antique car friendly in both time and distance and that does not try to destroy vintage equipment
b. to reduce the trip time so that the average enthusiast can participate by keeping the trip to a week
c. to focus on the participants and the interaction that they have between the spectators and the other participants to better promote the antique car hobby
d. that event management’s main concern is to provide an enjoyable, family oriented experience
Entry: The entry fee for the 2008 event will be $1,950 per car which includes entrance into the event, chase/support vehicles services, one hotel room for 6 nights of the event, admission into the museums and all special activities for two people, and the closing dinner for two people. We are planning on stopping at a different museum every evening as well as having car shows and a party in the evening.
Vehicles: Pre-1974 vehicles including sedans, convertibles, sports cars, race cars, motorcycles, or any motor vehicle that would be seen on the roads pre-1974.
